Visit of President to U.S.A – Why ?

President Iajuddin Ahmed will visit U.S.A for a week from 31 Oct 07. As per newspaper reports he will visit Ohio to deliver a speech on the ‘ Education system of Bangladesh’ at Ohio State University on Nov 02. Also he will visit Ohio Agricultural Research Institute. Then he will fly to New Orleans on Nov 04.

It seems to me that the president is in holiday move and passing very lazy time in Bongo Bhabon. When the nation is in emergency at such time visiting abroad for such unimportant reason is really alarming. Is our country rich enough to arrange such unimportant visit for a high class delegation in abroad? I don’t find any necessity of such nature of visit.

Moreover, the President of Bangladesh will visit U.S.A but will not be well come by president of U.S.A. What to talk about President, not even city mayor will able to spare time to meet our president. So this visit is not only illogical spending of government money but also shameful for our nation.

Is Mr. President is in a position to realize these issue?

Raised Voice of a Notorious Barrister

The name is very common to us. He had a raised voice before 1.11. And after 1.11 went for a deep nap, no one could find him out. He did lot of seminar and also voiced against many odds of many individual and government. Gradually we found that his raising voice was only for a specific corner and subsequently we also witnessed his name for nomination from that group.

Few days back news came up in all newspaper that a lawyer had shown falls document in a court and allowed a criminal to get bail.

This lawyer is nobody but Mr. Barrister Rokon Uddin Mahmud.

How could a barrister get bail for a criminal on making falls document? Should he not be fired from his law business? whts the difference between this obnoxious individual who defamed the justice namely Mr.faize?

With utter surprise now a days we see that this so called barrister is giving speech on various national issues.

Has he thought that we the general people have forgotten all his acts?

And what government is doing? What about NCC.

We r trying to boycott all corrupted people of our society and in the same society we r promoting such an odd man to speak in public.

How Strong A Rumor Can be?

On 14 Sep 07 Garment workers of Featherlite Ltd were fuming over an unconfirmed rumor that one of them named Helal was killed Thursday over theft of a cell phone set. Just after spreading of this rumor several hundred workers massed at the entrance to the DEPZ Extension at around 7:00am, claming for recovery of the co-worker's body.

As a result Police charged baton on the garment workers and tried to prevent them from entering. They marched towards the DEPZ (old). The demonstrators went on the rampage, damaging a number of factories in and outside the exclusive industrial block. Besides, they barricaded the nearby Nabinagar-Kaliakoir Road and vandalized seven to eight vehicles, emptying traffic out of there.

A-One, Hoplun, Lenny Fashions Ltd and Actor Ltd are among the factories damaged inside the DEPZ area.

Motiur Rahman, assistant superintendent of police informed that the story of killing Helal and dumping his body has turned out to be false. “Still, we are trying to trace him [Helal],” he added.

BEPZA Chairman Brig Ashraf Abdullah Yusuf, Savar camp commander Lt Col Mahbub-ur-Rahman, superintendent of police and other high officials have visited the DEPZ.

Dream of a Leader

I dream to see a leader who is educated, honest, sincere and dedicated. And last but not the least has no money.

If we look back to our history of past 36 years, one thing is common among all political party that is – “Nominating monied man during any election for buying votes”. No matter, what is the quality, educationational background or charectaristics s/he possesses,

I wish and desire, general people should be motivated from now on wards to vote qualified people for election, ignoring party face. Only then we can bring qualitative change in our politics within the country.

Who should come forward?

Changed Face of Two DU Teacher

How come! Tow detained DU teacher suddenly changed their face. They apologized to the army for the attack on them during recent campus violence. Remember? In earlier days with the same mouth they delivered odd comments against army. So, it proves these disgusting, characterless individuals are the main culprits who influenced the situation.

Shame for Us

Is it not shame for us to see that the DU teachers are supporting students to protest with stick, fire in hand?

Where we r living? I don’t want to believe that s/he is a teacher who tells that ....we will not go back to class unless students go back ..., may be to keep pace with modernization, the students became guardian of teachers at best university of BD.. I want to categories those so called teachers as ‘literate miscreants / opportunists’- who are taking cover of honorable umbrella, named “TEACHER” and undermining the whole nation.

I, as a student must protest the activities of few armed forces personals. And also appreciate the way they reacted by speedily shifting the camp, even within the outlined time frame. It was our win and their good gesture. Ever anyone have witnesses that army is acting on innocent students demand.

How come even after that all nasty things happen? Should we not blame those ‘literate miscreants / opportunists’ for inspiring for all destructive events?

This nation is ours. None of that kind should be allowed to play destructive game as they want.
